FAQ
Common questions about Super Collider Computers — hours, pricing, turnaround, and what to expect.
Common Questions
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the repair and what’s ahead of you in line. Some things take a couple of days, some take weeks. We prioritize by urgency — if your work computer is down, that gets bumped up.
How much does it cost?
The diagnostic is $65 and gets applied to your repair if you go ahead. Most standard repairs are $150, which covers up to 3 hours of labor — jobs that run longer cost more. House calls are $99/hour. Every job is different — see full pricing or text us for a quote.
Can I get an estimate before you start?
Yes — just ask. Estimates aren’t given by default, but we’re happy to provide one.
What should I bring when I drop off?
- Your device and its charger or power adapter
- Your login password (write it down — we won’t judge)
- A quick description of the problem — when did it start? What were you doing?
When can I drop off?
Monday – Friday, 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Short window, on purpose — repairs happen outside those hours. Text first so we know you’re coming.
Do you make house calls?
Yes. $99/hour, no trip charge in the North Newton area. We cover repairs, setup, training, and troubleshooting across Harvey County. More about house calls.
What’s your warranty?
30 days on labor. If the same issue comes back within 30 days, we’ll fix it again at no charge. Parts are covered if there’s a clear defect, but normal wear and separate issues aren’t included.
What do you fix?
Windows PCs, Macs, iPhones, Android phones, tablets, gaming PCs, consoles, and printers. If it plugs in and it’s acting up, we probably work on it.
Can you recover my files?
We can try. Success depends on the type and extent of the damage — some drives are recoverable, some aren’t. We’ll be upfront about the odds after running a diagnostic.
Do you do training?
Yes. One-on-one sessions at the shop or at your home. Email, phones, computers, online safety — whatever you need help with. We go at your pace. More about training.
